Our Technology

Non-invasive. Radiation-free. Affordable.

Electrical Capacitance Tomography

A fundamentally different approach to breast imaging

Electrical charges with opposite polarities (−/+) generate an electric field between electrodes which can be used to measure the capacitance of an object. Zedsen's patented design features a flat sensor array with parallel electrodes — avoiding the compression and discomfort associated with conventional mammography.

Multiphysics and bespoke algorithms map the permittivity of the human body to improve cancer detection, without a single dose of radiation.

Scientific Viability

Cancer-related cellular changes alter the conductivity and capacitance of tissue. Advanced cancer correlates with cellular disarray associated with higher permittivity values — a signal our system is specifically designed to detect.

ECT Sensor

The Z-Scanner measures custom electric fields extending above the sensor surface. The flat, parallel electrode design eliminates the need for compression, making the scan comfortable and suitable for use by any health professional.

Algorithm Development

Time-domain algorithms enable fast, accurate scanning in a portable, affordable device. Our bespoke software handles data pseudonymisation, storage, and produces quantifiable results at a fraction of the cost of existing modalities.

Z-Scanner Software

A proprietary platform built for clinical environments

The Z-Scanner runs a Linux-based application handling real-time data acquisition, pseudonymisation, and secure storage. Designed to be operable by all health staff — not just radiologists — it brings advanced screening capability to GP surgeries and community clinics.

  • Real-time data acquisition and processing
  • Full data pseudonymisation on-device
  • Portable — no fixed infrastructure required
  • Quantifiable, algorithm-powered output
