Dr. Jacobo Fernández Vargas

A Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer specialized in creating models to extract meaningful information from physiological data.

Jacobo obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Autonomous University of Madrid. He received a scholarship from the Japanese government to pursue his PhD in Brain-Computer Interfaces at Chiba University, Japan. Following postdocs at The University of Tokyo and the University of Tsukuba, Jacobo obtained a research position at the University of Essex, where he taught Machine Learning to Master's students. This was followed by Machine Learning Engineer positions at FocalPoint Positioning and Out Of Domain Machine Learning. His extensive academic experience and work at private companies give him a unique capability to solve complex problems in a rigorous and methodical way.
